The Duck Plague Vaccine consists of an attenuated Duck Plague Virus (Holland strain) adapted to grow in chicken embryos. The vaccine is prepared by freeze-drying an emulsion of embryos, fluids, and chorioallantoic membranes obtained from duck plague virus–infected embryonated chicken eggs.
This vaccine is indicated for prophylactic immunization of ducks against Duck Plague (Duck Viral Enteritis). It can be safely administered to ducks aged 8–12 weeks.
Ducks develop immunity approximately 14 days after vaccination, and the immunity lasts for about 18 months.
Supplied as freeze-dried vaccine in 400-dose vials.
When kept in cold storage, the vaccine is stable for upto 18 months from the date of manufacture.
Use the vaccine immediately after reconstitution. Avoid exposure to sunlight or heat. Vaccinate only healthy ducks and dispose of empty vials responsibly.
