The Haemorrhagic Septicaemia vaccine is prepared from a highly immunogenic strain of Pasteurella multocida Strain P52 grown in nutrient broth and inactivated with formalin and precipitated by addition of alum.

The Haemorrhagic Septicaemia vaccine contains a culture suspension of Pasteurella multocida Strain P52 inactivated with formalin and precipitated by alum. It provides protection against the highly fatal bacterial disease affecting cattle and buffaloes.

Indications

For active immunization of cattle and buffaloes against Haemorrhagic Septicaemia.

Dosage and Administration
  • Cattle / Buffalo: 2 ml subcutaneously (s/c)
  • Animals below 6 months of age should be vaccinated twice at an interval of 3–4 weeks.
Immunity

Immunity develops approximately 10 days after vaccination and lasts for about 9–12 months.

Presentation

The vaccine is available in vials containing 50 doses.

Storage and Keeping Quality

The vaccine transported at room temperature should be used within 21 days from the date of dispatch. Stored under refrigerated conditions (2–8°C), the vaccine keeps well for two years from the date of manufacture.
