The Cell Culture Sheep Pox Vaccine is a live, attenuated freeze-dried vaccine prepared from an egg-adapted attenuated strain of Sheep Pox virus. It is used for active immunization of sheep against Sheep Pox disease.

The vaccine is a freeze-dried live attenuated preparation containing egg-adapted Sheep Pox virus. After reconstitution with the supplied diluent, the vaccine is recommended for subcutaneous administration to healthy sheep.

Indications

For active immunization of healthy sheep against Sheep Pox disease.

Dosage and Administration
  • Sheep: 0.5 ml subcutaneously (s/c) after reconstitution.
  • Use only the sterile diluent supplied with the vaccine.
  • Vaccinate healthy animals only.
Immunity

Immunity develops around 14 days post-vaccination and lasts for about one year. Annual booster is recommended.

Presentation

Available in 50-dose and 100-dose freeze-dried vials with sterile diluent.

Storage and Keeping Quality

Store the freeze-dried vaccine at –20°C or below. Use the reconstituted vaccine immediately. Protect from sunlight and avoid heat exposure.

Use sterile syringes and needles. Avoid contamination during reconstitution. Dispose of unused vaccine and vials as per bio-safety guidelines.
